The purpose of this app
Avada Product Feed is a Shopify app built for online store owners. Its purpose is simple: it takes the products in your Shopify store and lists them on Google so shoppers can find them on Google Shopping.
To do that, the app reads your Shopify catalog, formats each product to Google's required product feed format, and publishes it to your own Google Merchant Center account. It then reads back whether Google approved each product and shows the result in the app, so you can fix any issues without leaving Shopify.
What Avada Product Feed does
- Reads the products in your Shopify store (titles, prices, images, variants, identifiers).
- Converts them to the Google product feed specification.
- Publishes them to your Google Merchant Center account through the Google Merchant API.
- Reads each product's approval or disapproval status from Google and displays it in the app.
- Lets you create a separate feed for each target country or market.
Automatic product sync
Your Shopify products are published to Google Merchant Center and kept up to date as your catalog changes.
Multi-country feeds
Create a separate feed per target country or market, each with the right language and currency.
Approval status tracking
See which products are approved, pending, or disapproved by Google, and why, right inside the app.
Why the app connects to your Google account
To publish products on your behalf, the app asks you to sign in with your Google account and grant access to your Google Merchant Center account. This uses standard Google OAuth 2.0. The app uses this access only to manage your product listings and read their approval status. It does not use your Google data for anything else, and never sells or shares it. You can disconnect at any time from inside the app.
- In the app, you click Connect Google account and sign in with Google.
- Google shows you the access being requested and you approve it.
- You choose the Google Merchant Center account to publish your products to.
- The app syncs your Shopify products to that account and reports their approval status back to you.
The Google permission the app requests
- Manage your product listings and accounts for Google Shopping (the
.../auth/contentscope): to create, update, and delete your product listings, manage your feeds, and read your products' approval status in your Merchant Center account. - Your basic Google profile (name, email, profile picture): to show which Google account is connected.
